Environment Concept Art - Futuristic Asian Temple

In 3d Class, we need to draw theme free environment concept art that is gonna take classmates' attention. For me, I decide to combine between Buddhism and future because Asian religion architectures have been preserved so well, so I want to imagine what happen in the future.

For first concept design, Tron has one of the futuristic and cool lighting design that I would like to use in the futuristic temple. I think lighting is one of the way to make it looks futuristic. However, I realize that Tron does not use many color variation that causes weird concept art. Since I want some color variation, I decide to change its concept.

My second concept design was Ghost in the Shell. Ghost in the Shell has a wonderful futuristic environment design with asian culture. I really like the idea and decide to put the concept on my next concept design. when I finish my sketches, I realize that the space become smaller than I imagine. In that case, I have a limit to play with environment and I don't think it is a good idea. With my illustration friend's help, I change my concept design once again.

This is my third concept design for the asian temple. For this concept, I decide to combine my last two concept into one. I know that there is nothing going on the window and ceiling, I have no time to change the concept again because I already spent 2 days to change its concept and I have only 2 days to finish it. For one day, I spent all time to figure out how to make it look good. I actually put morning scene, different sculpture, and different furniture on the scene. At the end, it took a lot of time and it was different than original sketches.

Since I didn't have much time, I randomly put objects that looks cool(Start with plants on the glass, trees on sky-walk, and futuristic chair on right side,) but it still looks empty in the middle. If my piece got voted for the final project, I will definitely study more for this concept.
